City of Alma, Georgia to Be a Featured Filming Location in ONE Compelling Picture’s Upcoming Feature Film “Taksil”
Alma’s Historic Downtown
ALMA, GA — In late April, executive producers with ONE Compelling Picture (OCP), alongside members of the Faith & Film Coalition Collaborative (FFCC), met with City of Alma officials to discuss plans for filming scenes for the upcoming feature film “Taksil.” As part of the collaborative agreement between OCP and FFCC, the City of Alma graciously welcomed the opportunity for portions of the production to be filmed within the downtown district.
“Taksil” is a gripping action thriller centered around elite arson investigator Draco, who is murdered while investigating a series of warehouse fires tied to a corrupt redevelopment scheme. His pregnant widow, Assistant District Attorney Victoria, begins uncovering a deadly conspiracy involving organized crime, political leaders, and stolen land deals. Leading the investigation is Thomas Blackwell, Chief of the Office of Fire Investigation and Draco’s closest friend, who is secretly orchestrating the cover-up. As Victoria closes in on the truth, Blackwell becomes increasingly violent in his attempt to protect his power, forcing her into a desperate fight for survival in this suspense-filled story of betrayal, corruption, and the cost of loyalty.
On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the production crew will film a “Full Honors” funeral procession through Alma’s downtown corridor. The scene will feature a bagpipe player, horse-drawn casket carriage, fire trucks, police vehicles, funeral limousines, and a fire department color guard.
To accommodate filming, portions of 12th Street between Public Safety Drive and South Thomas Street will experience temporary road closures and limited parking for approximately four hours.
This production also offers local community members an opportunity to participate as extras in a feature film expected to stream on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and other major streaming platforms.
“Taksil” marks the fifth production under the unique collaboration between ONE Compelling Picture and the Faith & Film Coalition Collaborative. This partnership allows filmmakers to work alongside local cities and businesses to create faith-based films on modest budgets while delivering high-quality cinematic productions with the message of Jesus Christ woven throughout each story.
Several additional filming locations are currently being finalized and will be announced at a later date.
